City of Angels

The reward of that long drive down the coast was to chum it up with some stars for a day in the City of Angels - a.k.a. Los Angeles.  After spending a day there (read: didn't step foot in L.A. but lounged on Manhattan/Venice Beach all day) I feel like I got a pretty good taste of the area...

It's weird to think about the hundreds of people whose faces we see all the time - on TV, in movies or on the pages of a magazine calling L.A. home (or at least one of the homes).  I kind of enjoyed the feeling that the area was "special" in some way because of that - or at least because of the money it must take to be part of it.

I really really loved Venice Beach, particularly Abbott Kinney Boulevard which was quaint and hip.  Manhattan Beach was nice too, just a little more residential.  I adored them so much that I didn't even make it to L.A.  Preeetty sure I'm going to be back though; I'll explore more in depth then!
